Doting Korean mothers
A Korean mother on a discussion forum posted the following article:

"I need to say that because now a lot of people criticize Korean mothers doting our children. What is doting? Is it so bad? Doesn?t try to make your children get success mean one of responsibilities of being a parent? Do you know how many Korean and Chinese and Japanese and most Asian mothers raise successful children in America? The answer is so many. Why? Because we are doting them? And then doting meaning is good. I recommend to Western women to dote their children. It is one of road to success.

Of course some Westerners raise their children on road to success, but I saw many who don?t make their children to study. Anyway that is not my business. Don?t you know that just like America we have different classes? So we must to think of some solution for solve this problem, and not just criticizing each other?s. The solution is solving the poverty problem. In Korea in my high school days so many people were poor, but now much less because Korean people try together to make a better country. Korea is getting better, but in America I can see so many poverty and racism even now. And many people just think about themselves and so the problem is always there.

I think Asian countries like Korea are a 'we' country, but Western countries are an 'I' country. But, I don't say western country must be a 'we' country. But you should let us alone to be ourselves. This can also be a reason that Korean parents don?t like for children to marry to Westerners. We have basic cultural difference and language difference too. Can you understand? I think many of you are too young to know this well.

Anyway, I love America and I learn many things and have friends and have some chance I can't get in Korea, and I love Korea too, because I was born in Korea and was grown up in Korea and my family and friends are Korean.

I recommend you to find the good points of Korea, because I always look at the good points of everywhere I go and not just the bad points.
