Salaries for Teaching in Korea
The salaries (per 4 week session of 88-120 contact teaching hours) vary slightly from school to school, but as at start of 2008 they were averaging around 1.9 to 2.8 million Korean won per monthly session for public school contracts at 88 hours a month, and 2.1-2.5 million won for hagwon contracts at 120 hours a month.

If you want to know what the exchange rate is between Korean won and your currency please feel free to use this currency converter.

The lower salary end would apply to a person with a basic bachelor degree qualification, no experience teaching or working with children. The higher your qualification if you are teaching in a public school - the higher the salary. Also public school salaries are tax free for all nationalities except Canadians.
